food processing machine manufacturers

This page coordinates comparable quotations from food processing machine manufacturers for a named cutting duty. Food Processing Machine Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner: we collect design input, line up supplier answers and mark open deviations. We do not issue factory certificates, run the buyer’s product ourselves, or present this service as a brand-appointed reseller.

Assumptions that must appear on every quote include incoming size, texture and temperature of the cutting test; target cut size; fines or off-size limit; listed tooling; and whether cooking or forming for pet food sits with another vendor. Installation, shipping, training and commissioning stay visible as included or excluded lines so two factory papers can be read side by side.

Quotation alignment

Quotation alignment: Design input

Design input from the buyer is the product condition at the knives, the cut geometry, the duty cycle, three-phase supply, footprint and the destination plant. For dry dog-food work, also write which stages after cutting the buyer already owns. Public Bühler pet-food process notes list preparation, conditioning, extrusion, shaping and drying as distinct modules; those notes are a process map for questions, not a claim that this site sells that line.

Supplier answer

Each manufacturer should answer with the infeed configuration, cutting components, motor power in HP or kW as nameplate data, and the tools or guards exchanged between slices and dice. The answer should state how much fines and off-size may remain after dicing under the named feed, and who supplies conveyors or collection containers. Certificates attached to the quote belong to that supplier document.

Open deviation

Open deviations include a quote that uses a substitute product, omits changeover tooling, bundles site work into a single lump, or treats extrusion cooking as included when the RFQ only asked for cutting. Those gaps stay on the comparison sheet until the factory writes a correction. We do not close a deviation by restating brochure speed as validated throughput.
